ABOUT ME

I am a qualified integrative counsellor based in East London, and I have worked with a range of issues including depression, anxiety, low self-confidence, low self-esteem, loss and trauma.

 

I specialise in trauma and loss, and I have a number of years’ experience working with individuals who have experienced historic child sexual abuse, domestic abuse and sexual violence.

I also have a special interest in anxiety and depression and have many years of experience working with clients who have experienced this.

I am a registered member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy and abide by their ethics and standards.

My qualifications include:

  • Higher National Certificate in Counselling from the University of East London

  • BACP accredited Diploma in Counselling completed at The College of Haringey, Enfield and North East London

  • Foundation degree in Counselling from the Middlesex University

  • BA (Hons) degree in Counselling from the Middlesex University

  • Certificate in Online and Telephone Counselling recognised by the National Counselling Society (NCS)

As well as private practice, I currently work as a lecturer in counselling for a further education college. I have previously worked for the East London Rape Crisis Counselling Service as a counsellor,  Women's Aid as a case worker, Solace Women’s Aid as a group co-facilitator, and for Haven Network– for Survivors of Abuse as a placement counsellor.

My background also includes working within the social housing sector for many years which included working in a managerial role.
